We just returned from C2E2 and had an absolute blast. It was the biggest C2E2 ever! We had a chance to meet hundreds of friendly people at the con and also had the opportunity to show the “Chi-Town” Mutant Football fans our “first look” game demo. While we’re still early in development, it did turn heads...
and literally stopped every 11 to 14 year old in their tracks, their eyes literally glued to the screen. This was such a relief, because we are going to need new fans who have never played the original game as well as our core fans. We collected hundreds of e-mail addresses who are now part of the MFL Nation (you all should have read this in your emails already if the grunts are doing their jobs!). Welcome you guys and thanks for stopping by at the show!
MFL Fanatic Chubzdoomer has written an article explaining why he considers the original Mutant League to be the best sports game ever made. He makes a great case, but we hope he changes his mind once he plays the new Mutant Football League!
Let’s face it: these days, sports games suck. Not only are they completely devoid of personality, but they’re also bogged down in annual cycles that leave no room for innovation and guarantee that if you’ve played one, you’ve played them all. EA Sports’ Madden franchise is most guilty of this, but 2K Sports’ NBA 2K franchise isn’t much better. Believe it or not, however, there was once a time in which sports games were actually creative, innovative, and incredibly fun to play. Perhaps even more difficult to believe is that Electronic Arts pioneered such games with efforts like their sadly short-lived Mutant League sports franchise on the Sega Genesis.
The Closed beta has ended, and though we are sad, it brings us great joy. Why, you might ask?
Well, partly because it's spring but mostly, because we are getting READY TO LAUNCH!!! We are 98.9% done with the project and ramping up for our release on Steam (and digital download). Our tentative target release date is:
Wednesday, May 27th, 2015.
For those of you who have purchased the PC Retro Box or other items, we are putting the finishing touches on the final designs and getting everything ready for printing. The box is looking really cool and we’re sure you guys are going to love it!
This really has been a labor of love for us, putting this all together. It’s been a lot of work but also a lot of fun. We’re hoping to send everything to the printers late next week and will mail the physical products out as soon as the materials return. Everyone who purchased the box will get a Steam code or download code on the day the game is released.
In the Book of Revelation 6:1-8, it is said that God has a scroll in his right hand that is covered in seven seals. When broken by the Lamb of God, the first four seals release the four horsemen of the apocalypse: pestilence, war, famine, and death.
Raised by the Order Of Solomon, Adam Cahill is one of a handful of warriors bound by bloodline to protect our world from these four dark riders and stay the hands of hell, and inevitable Armageddon.

We had a fun and productive time at the Game Developers Conference and Game Connection, where we met up with a lot industry friends, and had the opportunity to meet many great folks from the publishing sector of the industry. My business partner and technical director for Mutant Football League, Maxim Novikov, joined me, as well as Chad Nimmo, The MFL’s social media director. As you know, the game is still early in development, so we weren’t even planning on going to the event, but the game got nominated for Most Promising IP at the Game Connection Awards, so we had to go. Unfortunately, we didn’t win, but the nomination earned MFL a lot of awareness around the show. The team had meetings from 9:00am to 6:00pm without breaks and sometimes our meetings were even double-booked. We showed the publishers and gaming press live gameplay of Mutant Football League for the first time, and it generated a lot of interest and positive feedback. People liked what they saw and the general di...
